Regional Workers' Compensation Claims Director

For a leader in the Finance & Insurance space, we are seeking a Regional Workers' Compensation Claims Director to own compensation, benefits, and rewards programs that help attract, retain, and motivate talent at scale. You will partner with people leaders, finance, and executive stakeholders to align rewards programs with business needs and employee experience. The position offers the opportunity to strengthen pay practices, improve program governance, and create more consistent outcomes across the organization within a regulated financial services environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a regional Workers' Compensation claims team
• Provide guidance on coverage, reserving, and claim strategies for complex claims
• Monitor reserve adequacy and ensure compliance with guidelines
• Conduct claim file audits and address customer complaints
• Oversee litigated claims and evaluate legal counsel performance
• Manage relationships with independent adjusters and vendor partners
• Recruit, coach, and evaluate team members

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Ten years of experience in workers' compensation claims handling
• Prior management experience
• Preferred insurance designations: AIC, CIC, AIM, CPCU
• Ability to obtain applicable state licenses

Pay

$121,263 – $191,687 annually
