About the Role

The position is responsible for promoting ProShares Strategic ETFs across select wirehouse firms, independent broker-dealers, and RIAs. The role involves channel segmentation, financial advisor qualifying and profiling, and arranging appointments for meetings across a multi-state region in the Great Lakes area. The incumbent is expected to possess in-depth investment and market knowledge, strong product presentation skills, analytical abilities, and advanced selling skills.

Responsibilities

  • Introduce current and prospective clients to ProShares ETFs and services through telephone conversations, web-based presentations, conference attendance, and in-person meetings.
  • Cultivate and manage client relationships by responding to inquiries, providing ongoing communication, and ensuring ProShares Advisors and business partners deliver exemplary service.
  • Segment all offices and advisors in the territory and proactively promote the ProShares Strategic ETF suite to qualifying prospects via outbound calls, email campaigns, lead follow-up, and advertising.
  • Promote sharing and exchange of industry knowledge and trends across sales teams, assist in developing key marketing strategies, and provide cross-selling leads for leveraged and inverse products.
  • Leverage company resources, including investment specialists, capital markets team, product management, and marketing, to execute duties.
  • Achieve prescribed sales goals and activity metrics, such as outbound dials, quality conversations, meeting scheduling, web-based presentations, RIA profiles, and lead generation follow-up.
  • Travel up to 25% for product presentations, road shows, lead follow-up, and conference attendance.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree.
  • Advanced credentials preferred (or in process), such as CFA, CFP, or CAIA.
  • Appropriate FINRA licenses required (Series 7 & 63).
  • 5+ years of field sales experience within mutual funds and/or ETF sales as a senior internal wholesaler, hybrid wholesaler, or external wholesaler.
  • Demonstrated record of selling success and achievement of sales goals in the financial professional channel.
  • ETF experience and knowledge.

  • Ability to proactively call, email, and visit clients to educate on the ProShares strategic product suite and value proposition.
  • Strong web-based and in-person presentation skills.
  • Ability to meet activity metrics and sales goals.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient territory management skills.
  • In-depth understanding of the ETF and investment products industry, financial concepts, and client-service strategies.
  • Advanced experience in investment analytics and tools.
  • Ability to prioritize client projects and requests effectively.
  • Understanding of practice management, the financial advisor business model, and the competitive landscape of financial services.
  • Breadth of product knowledge to act as the main ProShares point of contact in the territory.
  • Intermediate proficiency in consulting, managing relationships, and providing sales support.

Pay

The annual base salary for this role is $125,000 (USD), which does not include variable bonus. Total compensation may vary based on experience, role, location, department, and individual performance.
