About the role
The Regional Vice President (RVP) of Extended Business Office (EBO) functions as the General Manager of their assigned region, overseeing the development, planning, direction, and control of activities essential for business success in the EBO.
Responsibilities
- Leads the development and implementation of short and long-range plans to achieve the region/business unit goals and objectives.
- Achieve financial objectives (revenue and earnings) for his/her region/business unit.
- Contributes/directs the business development process to increase market share and sale of additional service lines to existing clients.
- Ensures that market assessment, identification of market segments and evaluation of revenue programs are conducted annually for his/her region/business unit.
- In conjunction with Corporate (sales, marketing, finance, and client engagement) departments, develops expansion plans, recommends expansion of service areas and development of new and profitable revenue ventures.
- Ensures continuous improvement of key operational and administrative processes to improve financial results and service excellence through demonstrated discipline and consistency.
- Evaluates and resolves general and specific business conditions as they relate to operational issues and keeps appropriate corporate departments fully informed.
- Recommends, implements, and administers changes to pricing as approved by Corporate.
- Owns the organization development process for his/her organization and as such, ensures that performance planning, execution and coaching, assessment of performance, potential and promotability, and related development plans are in place for all employees.
- Oversees the employee evaluation process, including but not limited to performance evaluations, merit increases, promotions, and disciplinary actions of reports.
- Ensures compliance with documented and comprehensive quality, regulatory and compliance programs.
- Ensures adherence to legal requirements and government reporting regulations.
- Continually monitors exposure of the organization. Directs the preparation of information requested or required for compliance. Submits information to appropriate company functional leaders e.g. human resources, compliance, finance, etc. prior to distribution to government agencies.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accounting, Healthcare Management, Business (MBA/MHA) or related business field is preferred.
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in Revenue Cycle Management Industry, Hospital Revenue Cycle Director/VP, Clinical Services Provider, Large Group Physician Practice or Military (healthcare operations management role).
- Business Acumen: Acquires and applies up to date information from the business world, revenue cycle and healthcare industries and cross-functional knowledge. Acquires, applies, and uses current knowledge in all areas of their own specialty or profession; is regarded as an expert; identifies and uses other expert resources as needed.
- Deep understanding of the entire revenue cycle, including billing, coding, and claims processing, to identify and recover underpayments effectively.
- Expertise in analyzing payer contracts and negotiating terms to ensure maximum reimbursement and minimize underpayment occurrences.
- Ability to perform detailed root cause analysis to identify the reasons behind denials and underpayments, and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
- Experience in managing appeals and disputes with payers to recover denied or underpaid claims successfully.
- Strong skills in using data analytics tools to track trends, generate reports, and provide insights for continuous process improvement.

Pay
The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, location, specialty and training. This pay scale is not a promise of a particular wage.
