About the role
Responsible for the overall clinical quality, integrity, service excellence, and financial viability of rehabilitation programs within a geographical area, with $25M+ revenue and direct responsibility for $15M. Plans, develops, implements, and monitors appropriate provision, documentation, billing of clinical services and customer relations. Identifies and implements growth opportunities for all appropriate services within each market.
Responsibilities
- Ensures market profitability and effective allocation of resources in accordance with budget expectations.
- Provides guidance and training to strengthen and advance site manager capabilities.
- Takes responsibility for the development, retention, hiring, performance management, compensation, and engagement of facility leadership and staff, partnering with HR resources.
- Completes reviews for documentation quality and billing integrity; some reviews may be delegated to appropriately credentialed team members.
- Acts as a leader, subject‑matter expert, and role model for staff.
- Ensures a high level of customer satisfaction through strategic planning, business development, and problem resolution.
- Identifies, develops, and expands strategic business opportunities utilizing appropriate resources (e.g., sales, outpatient, home health, wellness).
- Oversees area compliance with accurate documentation, billing of therapy services, and denials, partnering with the HR administration team to ensure completion of annual compliance requirements.
- Serves as the compliance liaison as described in the addendum.
Qualifications
- Graduate from a Physical Therapy/Physical Therapy Assistant, Occupational Therapy/Occupational Therapy Assistant, or Speech‑Language Pathology program.
- Must possess and maintain a current license in at least one state of practice; therapist license strongly preferred.
- Minimum three (3) years experience as a treating therapist or therapy assistant; five (5) years preferred.
- Minimum 5–7 years therapy management experience.
- Multi‑site experience with direct supervision of 5–10 DORs.
- Successful management of budgets exceeding $25M in revenue with direct responsibility for $15M (preferred).
- Currently Credentialed Documentation Auditor (CDA) or ability to become credentialed within six (6) months.
- Ability to travel extensively with overnight stays.
- Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance.
