Pay Grade/Pay Range: $48,600 – $60,800 (Salaried E7)

Normal work schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Position is eligible for remote work subject to University policy.

About the role

The Regional UA Admissions Advisor serves as the field representative for the Office of Undergraduate Admissions for an assigned regional area. Recruits students to attend The University of Alabama by creating awareness about the University, its programs, and scholarship opportunities. Coordinates recruiting efforts with local alumni chapters in the greater Houston, TX area. Identifies prospective qualified undergraduate students, plans student receptions and counselor briefings, and analyzes data on current and future territories and markets.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit students to The University of Alabama by promoting the University, its academic programs, and scholarship opportunities to students, counselors, and alumni.
  • Coordinate recruiting efforts with local alumni chapters.
  • Identify prospective qualified undergraduate students.
  • Plan and execute student receptions and counselor briefings.
  • Analyze data on current and future territories and markets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and two (2) years of experience in recruitment, university admissions, public relations, marketing, sales, or communications; OR master’s degree with some experience in these fields.
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license.
  • Must be at least 19 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report in compliance with University policies (applicants under 21 will have some driving restrictions).

  • Strong interpersonal skills and professional poise.
