Regional Specialist - Global Action Team

About the Role

We are currently looking for a Regional Specialist to join our Global Action Team (GAT) and rise to the challenge of empowering service. In this role, you’ll be responsible for driving the understanding and adoption of strategic programmatic initiatives and resources that support the objectives and focus areas of our Association. This role is key to the delivery and adaptation of our membership, leadership, and service tools, resources, and grants in support of our global service volunteers.

Responsibilities

• Educate and provide an advanced understanding of the programs and initiatives of the Association and Foundation, with specific areas of focus (membership development, increase service reporting and impact, as well as leadership development activities.)
• Develop dynamic and collaborative relationships with global volunteer leaders and build an understanding of their regional areas of focus, as well as the cultural differences, to provide regionalized support and service.
• As the staff liaison for an assigned constitutional area(s), work with the GAT Constitutional Area Leader and area leaders on identifying area challenges, and collaboratively develop strategies to overcome these challenges.
• Collaborate with volunteer leaders and fellow GAT staff in the development of strategic leader plans for assigned geographic constitutional areas.
• Review membership development grant applications and prepare staff reviews and recommendations for committee consideration. Post-approval, track progress of grant-funded activities until the close of the grant.
• Support leaders in the field in the development of quarterly reports and provide insights based on trends and real-time data.
• Monitor and understand regional data, including key performance indicators, and advise regional leaders based on data and trends.
• Promote and monitor the uptake of local initiatives that align with specific areas of focus (Membership Development, Leadership Development, or Service Activities) and the usage of tools and resources.
• Gather data from field leaders and recommend regional adaptations of tools, resources, and local projects and initiatives to LCI development teams.
• Assist with the coordination of area forum GAT events, conventions, and annual meetings with leaders.
• Coordinate and/or conduct GAT regional training (virtually and in-person), including the development of agendas, reports, and presentations.
• With management’s approval, attend area conventions, meetings, forums, etc., to inform, train, and strategize with regional volunteer leaders.
• Work with the Marketing and Communications teams to develop regional GAT communications, including message drafting and revision.
• Ensure appropriate utilization of leader budgets and support the process of submission and tracking of required documentation.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a four-year college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience. High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 1 year of related experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to navigate international business situations diplomatically.
• Self-motivated and able to be successful with little oversight.
• Ability to develop strong relationships with diverse groups of stakeholders.
• Bilingual (especially French) a plus.

Pay

Compensation range for this role is expected between $63,000 to $68,000. Salaries may vary depending on factors, including but not limited to, job location, skills, and experience.
