We are a growing Midwest-based fleet services organization seeking an experienced Regional Sales Manager to lead and expand our lubricant sales function across Toledo and the surrounding areas. This newly created role supports strategic growth in bulk oil and lubricants, reporting directly to the VP of Sales.
About the role
This is an on-site and field-based position requiring regular day travel throughout the assigned region, with approximately one overnight trip per week. Hours may vary based on business needs.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a regional sales strategy to achieve volume, revenue, and profitability targets.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities across transportation, construction, energy, manufacturing, agriculture, and related industrial sectors.
- Manage and grow relationships with key accounts, distributors, bulk buyers, and high-value B2B customers.
- Hire, train, coach, and lead the lubricant sales team to drive performance and accountability.
- Partner with operations to support timely delivery, service quality, and customer satisfaction.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activity, customer needs, and pricing opportunities to inform sales strategy.
- Prepare and deliver sales forecasts, performance reports, pipeline updates, and market insights to leadership.
- Negotiate and close high-value contracts in alignment with company policies, pricing strategy, and margin targets.
- Ensure compliance with applicable local and state regulations related to bulk oil storage, transport, and sales.
Requirements
- 3+ years of tire sales experience required.
- High motivation to run and grow your own territory.
- An entrepreneurial mindset that welcomes the freedom and independence of field sales.
- Sharp critical thinking and the persuasiveness to close.
- A personality that makes customers want to do business with you.
- A genuine sense of urgency and a service standard that stands out.
- Attention to detail, whatever the size of the task.
- A drive to outwork the competition and a real appetite for learning.
- Some college preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Your own vehicle; a monthly travel allowance is provided.
