Regional Sales Manager

About the role
We are seeking a Regional Sales Manager (RSM) for our Industrial (IMS) division. This individual will develop new business and applications, coordinate with global sales teams to manage key accounts, sales channels, and cultivate OEM relationships. Based in the Eastern US and working remotely, this role reports to the VP of Sales, focusing on expanding sales and applications across industrial process customers in the Eastern Region of the US and Canada. This strategic sales role requires coordination with global sales and marketing teams, distribution channels, key accounts, and executive management to drive our vision of becoming the preferred process analytical solutions provider for our customers.
Responsibilities
- Achieve targets for bookings, revenue, and profitability with a focus on industrial process markets, including refining, petrochemical, chemical, power, and other process industries, primarily through direct sales.
- Execute strategic sales of industrial process analyzer product lines with a focus on both base business and large projects.
- Expand and manage key accounts, channel partners, integrators, and OEMs.
- Develop and execute regional sales plans in coordination with the Americas IMS Sales and BDM Manager, and other Regional Sales Managers globally.
- Develop new and existing industrial process applications across refining, petrochemical, chemical, power, and other process markets for the territory.
- Directly interface with Process Insights Marketing and R&D teams to help position our products and applications in the territory.
- Deliver the voice of customer (VOC) from the territory to our teams to continuously grow and develop new products and applications.
- Execute our company's strategic Sales and Marketing plans and contribute to the product development roadmap.
- Coordinate customer visits, seminars, symposia, conferences, and other events in the territory to develop new sales opportunities.
- Participate in relevant exhibitions and conferences.
- Participate in weekly IMS sales meetings to review and report on new and existing sales pipeline in Salesforce.com.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required; a technical degree in engineering or the sciences is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Regional or Technical Sales Management within analytical instrumentation, process industries, or related industrial markets.
- Proven, demonstrated track record of successful sales performance and achieving annual sales targets.
- Hands-on experience developing new applications, expanding into new markets, and managing channel sales effectively.
- Technical proficiency required, including Salesforce.com (or other CRM platforms) and MS Office.
- Ability to understand and communicate technical requirements from customers to develop relevant solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage effectively at all levels of the organization.
- Strong business acumen in managing customer relationships—from direct contacts to senior management, influencers, and decision-makers.
- Highly self-motivated with the ability to work independently and follow through on commitments with both management and team members.
- Result-oriented with a strategic mindset to identify and develop new business opportunities.
- Travel required at a minimum of 50%, including regional, overnight, and occasional international travel as needed.
- Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving abilities, with proven skills in strategic thinking and decision-making.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable to working in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
- Demonstrated experience in target setting, KPI utilization, and budget management.
