About the Role
The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales growth of the Copeland HVACR portfolio through contractors and distributors. Copeland has been a leading provider of heating and cooling solutions for residential applications, serving HVACR wholesale distribution for more than 75 years.
In this role, you will lead a team of five Territory Sales Executives (TSE) and one rep group covering 14 states (MD, DE, VA, PA, NJ, NY, NC, SC, CT, RI, MA, NH, VT, & ME). Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and mentor a team of Territory Sales Executives (TSE) to enhance performance and drive results.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key customers and their senior-level management to ensure our sales team is in a favorable position to succeed.
- Track sales activities to determine sales progress and suggest improvements.
- Monitor market trends, customer behavior, and competitor activity to refine strategy and uncover new opportunities.
- Assist in customer reviews and ensure presence at distributor events.
- Spend time with each TSE visiting key customers.
- Recommend and implement improvements to achieve sales goals.
- Resolve problems quickly to create positive customer experiences.
- Use Salesforce to ensure KPIs are met and customer data is up to date.
- Hold bi-weekly meetings via Teams with your direct reports.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, marketing, product planning, and engineering to deliver customer-focused solutions and portfolio growth.
Requirements
- 5+ years of sales experience supporting 2-step HVACR wholesale distribution, MRO, Plumbing channels, or other technical sales/market experience.
- Proven ability to lead high-performing sales teams and achieve sales targets.
- Proven success in developing customer relationships and driving sales growth.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) and CRM tools (Salesforce preferred).
- Strong organizational, time management, and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Resilience under pressure and sound judgment on when to escalate issues.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.
Schedule
- This role is fully remote but requires frequent travel within the territory, averaging 50% overnight travel.
- The territory consists of Maryland, Delaware, Virginia, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, South Carolina, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont, and Maine.
- The person in this role must reside within the territory.
Pay
In accordance with Colorado EPEWA, the salary range for this role is $120,000-$130,000 annually, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to a role. Additionally, we have a quarterly bonus program and provide a company vehicle.
