Regional Sales Director, Vacuum Automation

Job Mission
To profitably grow Automation sales and market share, achieving sales targets in the regional area. To aim for organic growth within the current scope and suggest potential acquisitions for inorganic growth. To focus on revenue and market growth, sales productivity and efficiency, financial performance, talent stability, and customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement structured sales strategies to optimize market share.
Execute Piab's Full Potential Plan (FFP) & Sales Acceleration Program (SAP).
Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities, including potential acquisitions.
Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing regional sales team.
Implement talent development programs including onboarding and continuous coaching.
Foster a strong team-oriented sales culture.
Implement customer prioritization strategies (CPP, OEM & RI programs).
Establish metrics and track sales efficiency by individual, team, region, and channel.
Ensure sales data integrity and real-time updates within Salesforce.
Implement a Sales Excellence Process to attain best-in-class sales efficiency.
Conduct regular market analysis, providing insights on industry trends, segmentation, and competitor activities.
Ensure proactive strategic positioning to maintain Piab's competitive edge.
Work closely with marketing, operations, finance, and People & Culture managers to drive cohesion and alignment.
Manage regional profit and loss (P&L) effectively.
Influence product development strategies to align with market needs.
Optimize customer relationships through effective account management strategies.
Support multi-brand initiatives and ensure consistent customer engagement.
Represent Piab at key industry events, customer meetings, and strategic discussions.
Engage in frequent travel across North America to support regional business growth.

Skills and Abilities
Bilingual advantage: Fluency in English required; French is a plus (Canada).

Sales and leadership acumen: Strategically driven with a tactical execution mindset.
Leadership skills: Team-leader with strong leadership capabilities to make people cooperate.
Customer-centric focus: Passion for customers engagement and industry knowledge; genuine interest in divisional businesses and customers to develop insight-led assets and communication.
Experience and educational background: Bachelor’s degree in business management/engineering or completed professional education in the commercial field (6 years)
Technical background is a plus.
Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of characters.
Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening.
Excellent communication skills.
Multi-tasking, prioritizing, and managing time effectively.
Professional English skills.
Understanding of the lifting market and its players.
Familiarity with digital communication tools such as SEO, SoME, Inbound marketing, Direct Account Marketing etc.
