Responsibilities
- Develop strategy alongside U.S. and Global Sales leadership for overall global revenue planning and achievement.
- Oversee high-achieving teams across the assigned region.
- Design territory and pricing strategies.
- Interface with field sales representatives by hiring, training, planning, coaching, and directing their efforts to achieve annual sales goals.
- Assure selling and account management proficiency of sales teams by following up on planned sales and development objectives to achieve personal, regional, and corporate goals.
- Provide coaching to grow and develop sales reps, including developing action plans to improve performance where needed.
- Interface with Marketing to collect and analyze market data and trends, providing input into the competitive environment and emerging threats and opportunities.
- Drive new product sales and act as a field resource to the Marketing Department during product development, new product introductions, and evaluations.
- Interact and partner with Commercial Operations for local, regional, or national contracts to increase sales opportunities.
- Recommend pricing strategies and advise sales representatives of pricing guidelines while maintaining corporately mandated margins.
- Attend required national trade shows; attend and staff local trade shows within the region as deemed appropriate, coordinating with the Marketing Department as necessary.
- Selectively maintain relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and key facilities.
- Promote execution of existing educational programs within the region and evaluate their effectiveness.
- Build relationships with clinical members of the Value Analysis Committees (VAC) and other clinical decision-makers.
- Manage and monitor the regional sales expense budget, maintaining an ongoing assessment of expense-to-budget performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Minimum of five (5) years of medical device sales experience.
- Minimum of three (3) years of medical device sales leadership experience.
- Medical device startup experience with documented success.
- Expertise in SCS, Pain Management, Ortho, Spine, or O.R. markets.
- Demonstrated goal-setting and implementation skills with a clear record of accomplishments in prior personal and professional pursuits.
- This position requires over 60% travel.
