Regional Safety Manager

About the role

Ecowaste Solutions is seeking a Safety Leader to oversee health and safety programs in Missouri, Kansas, and Arkansas. The role involves managing compliance, risk reduction, and safety improvements, with a focus on DOT and FMCSA regulations. The position requires extensive travel (approximately 60%) and collaboration with operations teams.

Responsibilities

• Implements, manages, and maintains a comprehensive Health and Safety Program
• Measures and drives continuous improvement of safety programs through internal audits and incident investigations
• Manages property damage at each location
• Performs quarterly safety audits at each site
• Works closely with operations on events, accidents, especially those involving fleet and trucking operations

Qualifications

• 4+ years of safety management experience, including experience in a trucking or motor carrier environment
• Deep expertise in DOT/FMCSA regulations and enforcement standards
• Extensive knowledge of OSHA regulations, with experience applying them in a field or industrial setting
• Proficient with MS Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Experienced with SharePoint
• Excellent organization and communication skills, including ability to manage conflicts related to safety or environmental issues
• Bachelor's degree preferred, with strong knowledge of OSHA, DOT/FMCSA, and EPA standards and practices
• Professional certifications such as CSP, ASP, or CHST preferred
