About the role

As a Regional Process Controls Engineer in Houston, you will be an integral part of the Process Control division supporting operational excellence and safety. The role involves developing and providing subject matter expertise in the effective use of batch controls and batch manager systems, maintaining and updating control narratives, complex control logic, and process safety system narratives for licensing process design packages.

You will support detailed design, startup, site acceptance tests, factory acceptance tests, and plant commissioning for DCS and SIS systems. Additionally, you will mentor other process control engineers across the division to foster continuous improvement and knowledge sharing, and identify and implement solutions to enhance plant performance and operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemical, electrical engineering, or related fields; experience with Mathematics, Engineering, or Computer Science considered.
  • Extensive process control experience within the petrochemical or refining industries, ideally 10+ years.
  • Familiarity with Emerson Delta-V or Foxboro I/A distributed control systems (DCS) and experience with commercial DCS systems used in petrochemical processes.
  • Experience with Batch Operations and Batch management systems.
  • Strong aptitude with computerized applications and a commitment to safety and compliance standards.
