Responsibilities

  • Lead the growth of the Georgia Survey practice by maximizing market share and expanding service offerings.
  • Identify and develop new clients, markets, and surveying opportunities across public and private sectors.
  • Develop and execute regional business development strategies aligned with corporate objectives.
  • Gather and apply market intelligence through strong client relationships and industry engagement.
  • Provide input to discipline sales goals, develop and implement marketing and client education plans, and lead major pursuits, proposals, and interviews.
  • Collaborate with Corporate Leadership and Practice Leaders to secure strategic wins.
  • Position the firm strategically for Georgia-specific markets such as transportation, land development, utilities, and municipal projects.
  • Supervise and mentor Practice Leaders and Survey Managers within the region.
  • Build and sustain a high-performance team through coaching, professional development, and accountability.
  • Recruit, develop, and retain top surveying talent.
  • Foster a collaborative culture focused on quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Serve as Principal-in-Charge or Senior Project Manager for significant surveying projects and pursuits.
  • Maintain executive-level client relationships and act as a trusted advisor.
  • Represent the firm at industry events, professional organizations, and client meetings throughout Georgia.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 15 years of experience pursuing, securing, and managing surveying projects.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering surveying services in Georgia.
  • Proven track record in business development, client relationship management, and practice growth.
  • Must be a licensed Professional Surveyor and Mapper in Georgia.
  • Strong understanding of surveying standards, regulations, and best practices, including Georgia-specific requirements.
  • Exceptional leadership, written and verbal communication, and relationship-building skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (AEC Industry) and minimum of 10 years of related professional experience, or 14 years of equivalent professional experience.
  • Typically, 10+ years of progressive professional and increasing project management and organizational management experience in the AEC industry.
  • Proven leadership skills with a track record of successful project management, business management, and team collaboration.
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive business development efforts and achieve growth targets.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary to support regional initiatives.
  • Master’s/MBA preferred.
  • Ability to complete the KCI PM Training and Contract Training within six months of start date.
  • Professional license or certification within the field of expertise preferred.
