Regional Partner Sales Manager – Southeast
About the role
Quilt is reinventing the heat pump and the HVAC OEM model, offering beautifully designed, AI‑optimized heat pump systems with software that makes it easier for contractors to sell, install, and service. The mission is to move humanity off fossil fuels by accelerating the adoption of electric heat pumps in over 80 million U.S. homes. As the Regional Partner Sales Manager for the Southeast United States, you will own Quilt’s partner channel across the territory, balancing the growth of existing Certified Partners with the acquisition of new ones. The role is field‑based (remote within the Southeast) with 50–75% regional travel required and is a full‑time position.
Responsibilities
- Hunt: Identify and connect with HVAC contractors and dealers in the Southeast who are strong candidates to become Quilt partners; lead discovery meetings, present the Quilt Partner Program value proposition, and guide prospects through enrollment and onboarding; maintain a healthy pipeline of partner prospects; represent Quilt at regional HVAC trade events, contractor association meetings, and industry gatherings; meet and exceed quarterly targets for net‑new partner enrollments.
- Farm: Serve as the primary relationship owner for all certified Quilt partners in the Southeast, building trust‑based relationships with owner‑operators and their teams; travel regularly to partner locations for in‑person check‑ins, sales coaching, and ride‑alongs with sales reps and installation crews; deliver product and sales training covering technical install quality and customer‑facing sales techniques; monitor partner metrics (install volume, revenue, customer satisfaction) and develop action plans to accelerate underperforming partners; coordinate with Quilt’s marketing team to ensure partners effectively leverage co‑op funds, lead programs, and marketing assets.
- Drive regional performance and cross‑functional collaboration: Exceed partner reorder revenue targets and achieve monthly blended installation rate goals across the regional partner portfolio; exceed new partner acquisition and initial stocking order revenue targets; document successful practices and contribute to a growing library of partner success playbooks; provide structured, actionable feedback from the field to internal product, marketing, and operations teams to continuously improve the partner experience.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in channel sales, territory sales, or business development, preferably in HVAC, building products, or a related trade industry.
- Real fluency in heat pump systems, including applications in hot, humid climates; understanding of how heat pumps work, how they’re sold and installed, and what separates a quality install from a poor one.
- An existing network of HVAC contractors and dealers in the Southeast is a strong advantage.
- Hunter‑farmer mindset with proven ability to manage and grow existing accounts while simultaneously prospecting and closing new partners.
- Comfortable being on the road 50–75% of the time throughout the region.
- Credible communicator across the full range of partner contacts, from working installers to shop owners to regional executives.
- Self‑directed and territory‑minded; able to own your pipeline, manage your own schedule, and hold yourself accountable to results.
Benefits
- Meaningful stock options, giving you ownership in the upside of the company you help build.
- Top‑tier health, dental, and vision insurance.
- Co‑op funds, lead programs, marketing assets, and a dedicated training team so you never walk into a partner’s shop empty‑handed.
- Autonomy to run the Southeast territory like your own business—set your schedule, decide where to spend your time, and own the results, with headquarters support.
- Opportunity to sell a differentiated product that helps contractors win more heat pump jobs and includes diagnostics software that reduces truck rolls and callbacks.
- Room to grow as Quilt’s regional partner network expands, with increasing leadership opportunities.
