Regional Operations Director (Relocation Assistance)

About the role

This is a hands-on, high-impact role for a Regional Operations Director who will serve as the tactical right hand to the COO, bridging the gap between field technicians and executive leadership. The position is based in the New England region (CT or MA) with a remote / road warrior schedule requiring 75%+ travel to newly acquired branches.

Responsibilities

• Travel to newly acquired branches—often small, “mom and pop” operations—and professionalize dispatch, service flow, inventory, and related processes.
• Coach and mentor Branch Managers and Service Managers on running strong P&Ls and efficient, profitable service operations.
• Identify and remediate order-to-cash issues (billing, routing, process gaps) and implement lasting improvements.
• Lead acquisition integrations: blend cultures, systems, and processes; migrate teams from paper to platforms like NetSuite or ServiceTitan without eroding trust or morale.
• Champion a “Safety First” culture across all field operations, ensuring OSHA and company standards are lived, not just met.
• Act as the field-level early-warning system for executive leadership, flagging risks and opportunities before they escalate.
• Standardize training and onboarding so newly integrated teams ramp up quickly and consistently.

Requirements

• 7+ years of operations leadership in the Commercial Door, Dock, or Access Control industry.
• Deep working knowledge of commercial entry solutions (doors, dock equipment, high-speed doors).
• Willingness to travel 75%+ of the time on a regional basis.
• Comfort with ERP/FSM systems (NetSuite, ServiceTitan, or similar) and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Prior exposure to M&A integration or multi-site standardization work.
• Formal safety program development or OSHA leadership experience.

Pay

$150,000 – $170,000 per year plus additional compensation perks.
