Job Summary
Responsibilities
- Auditing facility documentation and makes recommendations for improvement
- Revising protocols as needed to keep pace with emerging clinical best practices
- Monitoring clinical advancements within the industry
- Managing nursing competency validation programs
- Providing clinical guidance to ensure optimal quality of care in the region
- Participating in the quality assurance process
- Implementing protocols to keep up with current innovations
- Ensuring optimal reimbursement rates in assigned facilities
- Developing policies to mitigate risk
- Conducting operational reviews to assess regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and quality improvement opportunities
- Maintaining impeccable regulatory compliance in the region
- Communicating effectively with staff, doctors, and corporate leadership, utilizing diplomacy and discretion
- Ensuring quality clinical outcomes in assigned region
Requirements
- Prior regional / multi-facility experiences within Long Term Care / Nursing Homes preferred
- Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Director of Nursing Services in a Skilled Nursing Facility required
- Current RN license
- Intermediate+ computer/software skills and comprehension
- Valid RN license
- 5+ years' experience working with nursing practices and procedures
- 3+ years' experience in Long Term Care facilities
