Regional Nurse Consultant

About the role

The Regional Nurse Consultant supports Skilled Nursing Facilities in the Omaha/Council Bluffs area. They support the Director of Nursing and Administrator at each facility, providing input on and support for the implementation of strong clinical systems that result in the highest quality of care.

Responsibilities

• Supports the Director of Nursing and Administrator at each facility.
• Provides input on, and support for, the implementation of strong clinical systems that result in the highest quality of care.
• Supports the development and implementation of quality assurance measurements and audits, and assists in improving medical management processes throughout the skilled nursing facilities and market by coordinating and engaging in activities to proactively promote implementation of evidence-based best practices.
• Supports the Director of Nursing for the provision of quality and appropriate resident/patient care that meets or exceeds company and regulatory standards.
• Aids in the preparation of annual budget for the facility.
• Maintains regular and ongoing communication with the facility's Medical Director to identify educational needs for staff and provide quality care and services to meet the needs of residents.
• Makes sure daily clinical start-up meetings with the interdisciplinary team are conducted to review resident and patient status on a regular basis.
• Collects, reviews, and analyzes clinical outcome data and determines trends. Brings identified concerns to the QA&A committee for development of appropriate plans of action at the facility and regional level.
• Provides support for clinical aspects of state or federal government survey processes.

Requirements

• Relevant experience: 2 years (Preferred)
• Registered Nurse license
