Regional Medical Scientific Director (Medical Science Liaison) - Rheumatology/Dermatology (Upper Midwest)

For our client, we are seeking a Regional Medical Scientific Director (Medical Science Liaison) - Rheumatology/Dermatology (Upper Midwest) to join the team of a leader in the Pharmaceuticals & Biotech space. This remote field-based role will serve as a scientific resource across the Upper Midwest, building trusted peer-to-peer relationships with key external scientific leaders in rheumatology and dermatology. The position will help advance scientific exchange, support clinical insight generation, and strengthen connections between external stakeholders and the company's medical and research teams. The role also contributes to trial site identification and investigator engagement while ensuring compliant, high-quality scientific dialogue. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $190,800 – $300,300 annually Responsibilities Develop professional relationships with scientific leaders to provide medical information Conduct peer-to-peer scientific discussions and maintain a reliable presence with external stakeholders Address scientific inquiries and direct them to appropriate resources Maintain current knowledge of the scientific and clinical environment in therapeutic areas Initiate discussions with scientific leaders to align research strategies and scientific merit Recommend study sites and identify potential investigators for clinical trials Engage in scientific congresses to facilitate data exchange Qualifications PhD, PharmD, DNP, DO, or MD required Minimum 3 years of relevant therapeutic area experience Ability to conduct doctoral-level discussions with stakeholders Strong focus on scientific education and dialogue Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills Thorough understanding of FDA, OIG, HIPAA, and ethical guidelines Strong organizational skills in a dynamic environment Benefits Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance Retirement benefits including 401(k) Paid holidays and vacation days Compassionate and sick leave Support for employee and family healthcare needs Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
