About the role

As the Regional Mechanical Industrial Engineer, you are responsible for production technologies in the Americas region. Your objective is to train, develop, and ensure standards are followed, with autonomous coordination and execution of regional engineering operations tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and update the technology landscape in collaboration with the plants.
  • Serve as the regional process owner for specific technologies.
  • Provide technical support for the identification, selection, and qualification of new suppliers.
  • Organize local process and technology transfer/training.
  • Technically develop regional existing production processes in alignment with Global Industrial Engineering (GIE).
  • Benchmark and share best practices.
  • Plan and realize investments.
  • Plan and extend production capacity and new technologies.
  • Support as a 2nd level resource for local plants in solving complex quality and technical problems from internal or external complaints.
  • Actively plan and implement process optimizations and rationalizations.
  • Design workplace layouts and manage time studies.
  • Prepare and execute Industrial Engineering (IE) related tasks for duplication/relocation projects.

Requirements

  • Industrial Engineering degree or related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of work experience in engineering within a related industry (electronics/cable).
  • Extensive knowledge in milling and lathe operations.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical connectors and connector assembly.
  • Basic understanding of pneumatic, electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems.
  • Experience with SAP management.
  • Training in JIT (Just-In-Time) techniques and Core Tools.
  • Preferably experience in the automotive industry (IATF 16949).

Pay

Competitive salary range: $90,000 - $115,000 (commensurate with experience). This role is eligible for a 5% discretionary annual bonus.
