About the Role
This position is responsible for the control and work associated with the inventory control process.
Responsibilities
- Available to work various schedules to provide for operational efficiencies
- Coordinate, shop and receive tool, instrument and equipment repairs from vendors
- Manage, track, receive and transfer distribution meters
- Ship, receive and document transformer and distribution equipment repairs
- Perform basic general warehouse duties in the absence of supervisor
- Maintain inventory stock levels of materials and supplies
- Order, issue and receive materials and supplies to include invoice receipts and payments
- Assist in managing the requisition, purchase order and accounting for items associated with the supply chain process
- Assist with management of facilities
- Prepare and provide expertise for efficiencies within the inventory control process
- Load and unload materials and supplies in accordance with safety rules and best practices
- Proof job order requests
- Enter and maintain electronic data
- Operate a forklift
- Make deliveries
- Manage uniform ordering and cleaning process
- Coordinate vehicle fleet and facility maintenance
- Manage rubber goods testing
- Organize and maintain proper storage of materials and tools in order to ensure a safe work environment
- Clean storeroom and yard to minimize hazards, facilitate accurate inventory counts and maintain an orderly appearance
- Assist in the implementation and continuing focus of RESAP credentialing
- Operate PEC vehicle(s) for business purposes in accordance with applicable Federal, State, and local law and PEC policies and procedures
- Maintain driver eligibility through appropriate valid Texas Driver's License and driving record in accordance with PEC policy
- Maintain the security of confidential information
- Stay abreast of advances in technology
- Demonstrate regular and prompt attendance
- Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Three years of warehouse and stocking related experience
- Forklift certification required or able to obtain within 30 days from hire date
- Valid Texas Driver's License and Motor Vehicle Report that comply with PEC policy
Skills
- Knowledge of using computer systems, which may include setting up and using hardware and software programs, entering data or processing information
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service
- Skilled in time management
- Skilled in managing changing priorities
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Ability to listen and understand information verbally and in writing
- Ability to anticipate, identify, analyze and resolve conflict and problems
Pay
Minimum starting base pay: $22.21 per hour + KPI bonuses. Midpoint of pay range: $27.76 per hour. Individual base pay is determined by experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Qualifications may warrant greater starting base pay within the full pay range.
