About the role
Provide advanced respiratory care modalities, including the evaluation and care of patients experiencing respiratory insufficiencies. Assess patients to determine the appropriate type and frequency of treatment and develop comprehensive, individualized plans of care based on the diagnosis. Implement and continuously monitor the patient care plan and associated equipment, meticulously recording and communicating changes in the patient's condition. Evaluate respiratory practices, the administration of medications, and treatments based on patient outcomes to ensure effectiveness. Respond to all emergency resuscitation team calls.
Responsibilities
- Provide advanced respiratory care modalities, including the evaluation and care of patients experiencing respiratory insufficiencies.
- Absess patients to determine the appropriate type and frequency of treatment and develop comprehensive, individualized plans of care based on the diagnosis.

- Evaluate respiratory practices, the administration of medications, and treatments based on patient outcomes to ensure effectiveness.
- Respond to all emergency resuscitation team calls.
Requirements
- Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Respiratory Care Practitioner credentialed from the Wisconsin Medical Examining Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) preferred.
Qualifications
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Skills
- Knowledge of advanced respiratory care modalities.
- Ability to assess patients and develop comprehensive care plans.
- Proficiency in monitoring and recording patient care plans.
- Experience evaluating respiratory practices and treatments.
- Emergency response skills.
