Responsibilities
- Ensuring timely receipts of all payments due from IDPA, Medicare, residents, and families
- Ensuring Business Office Managers (BOMs) notify residents and families of their financial obligations and obtain proper documentation
- Education residents and families on IDPA and Medicare requirements and verifying financial resources and ability to pay
- Conducting monthly audits to ensure resident funds are properly managed and accounted for
- Providing ongoing assistance and education to increase the likelihood of application approvals
- Overseeing the appeal process and resolving overpayment issues with SSA when applicable
Requirements
- Bachelor's or higher degree in accounting or finance preferred
- Three (3) to Five (5) years accounting or finance experience required
- Knowledge of Medicaid regulations in Illinois required
- Ability to travel, drive, and work in various locations on a weekly basis or as needed
- Strong ability to use Microsoft Office Suite (Work, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Ability to organize, analyze, report, and communicate results
- Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
