Your Key Responsibilities
- Cook up export control issues and give advice to local export and customs staff.
- Study and keep track of changes in export control rules both at home and abroad.
- Make sure that all the right guidelines and standards are adopted, put into practice, and checked regularly.
- Handle cases and questions about export control transactions, especially when they need extra attention.
- Start and see through audits and assessments in export control areas.
- Give training, help out, and offer advice to export control experts in the regions you're in.
Your Qualifications
- A post-secondary degree.
- At least five years of relevant export control experience.
- Expertise in US Export Control Laws and Regulations, and some knowledge of Canada and EU Export Control regulations, as well as ITAR.
- Ability to figure out and carry out tasks related to export control.
- Good technical skills and experience with jurisdiction and classification analysis, along with strong analytical and organizational abilities.
- Strong writing and speaking skills, able to communicate clearly and professionally.
- High dependability and conscientiousness, capable of making sensible decisions based on facts and assessing risks.
- Knowledgeable about and experienced with export control agreements, licenses / permits, and regulatory language.
- Experience using SAP GTS Export Control tool or similar Export Control tools.
- Subject to requirements defined by 22 C.F.R.120.62: a US person as defined in 8 U.S.C. 1101(a)(20) or who is a protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).
- Experience as an Empowered Official is a bonus.
- Authorized to work in the US without employment visa or other sponsorship.
