About the Role
As a Regional Engineer Manager, your role blends multiple responsibilities to ensure operational excellence across mid-rise, high-rise, and retail properties. You will leverage your expertise to maintain a high-quality business environment for tenants while fostering productive relationships with property staff and outsourced engineering teams. Your work will drive financial success by optimizing building maintenance operations, mentoring teams, and ensuring assets meet Prometheus operational standards.
Responsibilities
- Building Operations: Serve as an expert in the physical operations of mid-rise, high-rise, and retail properties, ensuring every detail and dollar contributes to success.
- Building Management: Contribute to property financial goals by enhancing the productivity of internal and outsourced engineering staff. Study asset needs, prepare schedules and inspections, and implement changes for efficient maintenance operations.
- Leadership: Develop and support engineering teams (both internal and outsourced) with a focus on efficiency, training, growth, and engagement. Build strong relationships, provide direction, and secure resources to help teams thrive.
- Construction Review & Coordination: Review construction plans to ensure specifications meet the highest quality standards, addressing critical issues like code compliance, constructability, noise transmission, and waterproofing. Monitor project schedules during pre-construction and construction, coordinating with third-party contractors, internal departments, and external consultants.
- Industry Expertise: Apply in-depth, up-to-date knowledge of commercial property needs to ensure compliance with legal and environmental standards. Oversee contractor scheduling, prepare work scopes and contracts for capital projects, and negotiate fair market pricing. Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze data, suggest improvements, and implement operations that make commercial tenants feel at home.
Requirements
- Minimum of seven (7) years of experience working in mid-rise and high-rise office buildings, including at least five (5) years of supervisory property management experience.
- Preferred technical experience with FACP, electrical, HVAC, locks, water features, fire life safety systems, and building automation.
- High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Formal training through programs such as BOMA, IREM, and/or vocational coursework is a plus.
- Strong interest in property management and the ability to apply technical knowledge to building operations.

Pay
The provided salary range is based on factors including location, job-related skills, experience, and qualifications.
Pay Range: $138,000.00 to $196,000.00 per year
Additional compensation includes a discretionary annual bonus plan and an auto allowance.
