About the Hospital

Roxborough Memorial Hospital is a 131-bed community hospital and a member of Prime Healthcare. The hospital has been serving the medical and health care needs of the Roxborough, Manayunk, East Falls, and northwest Philadelphia communities since 1890. Roxborough Memorial Hospital's School of Nursing has been educating nurses since 1898. The hospital is accredited by the Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.

Responsibilities

• Provides educational services for areas of clinical expertise and patient care services to attain the hospital’s objectives, mission, and values.
• Supports corporate-wide programs, policies, and procedures to assess, evaluate, and meet the needs of behavioral health (BH) patients.
• Assists with the development and implementation of education plans for training in specialized clinical settings.
• Provides hands-on training for clinical staff to support the educational goals for the hospital.
• Implements an effective, ongoing training program to measure, assess, and improve the quality of care, treatment, and services delivered to all BH patients.
• Works collaboratively with Nursing Directors to provide educational services to staff.
• Travels to additional Prime Healthcare sites as needed.

Requirements

• Current and valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the State.
• Current BLS (ARC or AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Minimum of 5 years of behavioral health experience in an acute psychiatric setting.
• Minimum of 2 years of previous educational experience preferred.
• BSN preferred.
• ANCC Certification in Psychiatric/Mental Health preferred.
