Role Summary

As a Regional Driver, you will operate a tractor‑trailer to safely and efficiently pick up and deliver freight between company and customer locations, supporting drop‑and‑hook and live load/unload operations. You will maintain reliable delivery schedules while upholding all DOT regulations and company standards, and you may be away from home for extended periods.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Maneuver and deliver/backhaul truckloads of product and materials to plants, customers, and distributors as assigned.
• Observe and maintain all Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements regarding hours of service, logbook, vehicle inspections, load inspections, and securing load, including use of electronic logging devices or paper logs as needed.
• Operate a tractor and trailer in a legal and safe manner consistent with all Federal, State, local laws, regulations, and company policies, utilizing on‑board safety features.
• Complete and submit all company paperwork, including manifests, bills of lading, proof of delivery, pay envelopes, overage/shortage/damage claims, and trip reports.
• Load and unload products when assigned.
• Maintain seal/security integrity of the trailer and report accurate case counts and product condition during deliveries.
• Transport loads outside the normal scope (location, schedule, or customer) as required to meet business needs.

Minimum Education and Experience

• High School Graduate or GED.
• At least two years over‑the‑road tractor/trailer driving experience; refrigerated‑trailer experience preferred.
• Valid Class A CDL license.

Preferred Education and Experience

• Strong communication skills.

Physical Requirements and Environmental Factors

• Ability to drive a tractor with a trailer and remain seated for extended periods as required by DOT regulations.
• Ability to sleep while another driver drives.
• Ability to withstand bouncing and vibration from truck and road conditions.
• Ability to lift boxes up to 40 lb for loading/unloading.
• Exposure to fuel, oil, extreme temperatures (0‑100 °F), humidity (0‑100 %), and noise levels (50‑100 dB).
• Travel to customers, distributors, plant facilities, and other remote locations.

Pay

This is a piece‑rate position paid $0.82 per mile completed. Guaranteed minimum wage laws apply. An annual bonus (variable based on performance) and overtime may be available.
