Regional Distribution Center - Warehouse Associate II

About the role

The Regional Distribution Center (RDC) - Warehouse Person's primary duties include prioritizing and picking material to fill orders, loading, and unloading product on delivery trailers/containers and maintaining, handling, and moving the physical inventory within the RDC. He/she loads and unloads trailers/containers, keeps the facility organized by physical alignment and allows sufficient space for overflow. Checks all incoming and outgoing orders for accuracy. Performs periodic facilities maintenance and/or custodial/housekeeping tasks, such as cleaning the loading dock and area surrounding the building; keeping floors clear of debris and assisting in daily shift closures.

Responsibilities

• Assist in administrative tasks, such as handling and preparation of paperwork.
• May assist in the daily closing of the warehouse.
• Assist in verifying all incoming and outgoing products for accuracy (amount, size, type); inform management of inventory and supply shortages and assist in periodic inventory counts.
• Compile and submit regular reports of damaged, outdated stock or supplies, over/under shipments, returns to vendor, etc.; segregate defective product from normal inventory flow.
• Prioritize and pick material to fill orders and stage product for loading.
• Designate and organize warehouse stock by product line and by physical alignment, allowing sufficient space for overflow.
• Load and unload delivery trucks – lift products up to approximately 50 pounds; handle tires (rolling, destacking, team lifting) greater than approximately 50 pounds.
