About the role
The CoStar Regional Director (RD) role involves overseeing the development and delivery of CoStar's growth objectives within a designated region. The RD is responsible for increasing and maintaining revenue through the sale of new subscriptions and cross-selling additional CoStar services to both new and existing customers. Additionally, the RD manages a team of sales professionals, ensuring they meet or exceed sales quotas and provide excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Grow regional/team revenues, meeting and exceeding annual sales growth targets.
- Achieve and exceed sales quotas by attracting, hiring, developing, and motivating high-performing sales teams.
- Spend 3-4 days per week in the field to conduct sales calls with team members and provide coaching and training.
- Identify, prioritize, and win new client relationships while retaining and growing current clients.
- Monitor sales performance and hold team members accountable for achieving business performance targets and standards.
- Manage team members' weekly activities and ensure accurate use of the Enterprise CRM system.
- Establish and monitor individual and team performance targets aligned with overall business goals.
- Actively manage performance issues and make personnel changes as needed to achieve targets.
- Mentor and develop all team members to foster a positive company culture and values.
Requirements
- External Candidates: 5+ years of experience managing 6+ sales professionals, including attracting, hiring, training, and developing a high-performing team. Experience managing a $10M+ annual revenue book.
- Internal Candidates: 5+ years of overall sales experience, including 24+ months in a quota-carrying role at CoStar Group, with a strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited, not-for-profit, in-person college/university.
- Track record of commitment to prior employers.
- Current and valid driver's license.
- Experience leading sales efforts in the Commercial Real Estate industry.
- Demonstrated ability to build long-term business partnerships and relationships.
- Effective internal and external communication skills.
- Ability to retain and motivate proven sales producers.
