Regional Director, Quality & Safety

About the role

Regional Director, Quality & Safety — Rome, GA. Full-time, 40 hours per week, day shift. Registered Nurse or Licensed Pharmacist strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides oversight and direction for strategic planning and implementation of organization-wide performance improvement, patient safety, and quality outcome activities.
• Utilizes leadership and operational expertise to facilitate the operationalization of the Organizational Performance Improvement Plan and Patient Safety Plan.
• Oversees compliance and performance improvement efforts for regulatory and voluntary data collection and submission requirements.
• Manages compliance and readiness activities for accreditation and regulatory compliance related to Joint Commission, CMS CoP’s, and other applicable laws and regulations.
• Facilitates implementation of the AHS PSO requirements as applicable.
• Demonstrates excellent leadership, management, communication, collaboration, organization, interpersonal, problem-solving, critical thinking, systems thinking, consulting, and team-building skills.
• Delegates effectively to manage time wisely and develop leadership opportunities for staff.
• Tracks financial performance of operational areas and recommends programming to maintain budget compliance.
• Manages assigned direct reports, including recruitment, hiring, coaching/disciplinary actions, development, education, competencies, payroll functions, and documentation of these activities.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in a clinical field (required).
• Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Pharmacist (RPh) strongly preferred.
• 2+ years position-related experience (required); 5+ years preferred.
• Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) preferred.
• Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) preferred.
• Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS) preferred.

Pay

$109,886.40 – $204,401.60 per year
