Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provides the leadership and management for all programming under student services to include but not limited to co-curricular activities, support services and referrals, disability services, and student regulations processes and procedures.
- Provides the leadership and creativity needed for the SSS and ERAC team to create guides, videos, and workshops for students and faculty to access for informational and technological purposes.
- Captures the use of various technology available, manages Student Services Ticket System, ERAC and interprets the Student Services protocols and college policies.
- Provides monthly reporting on access to SSS and ERAC demonstrating its effectiveness to college established goals.
- Responsible for the staffing and management of Student Services and ERAC and work study staffing in accordance to college policies and procedures.
- Builds departmental relationships internally and externally to ensure the SSS and ERAC staff are able to advocate for the students and works with internal and external providers to facilitate or accommodate student needs.
- Collaborates and teams up with the Dean of Academic Affairs, Academic Leadership, Regional Office of Academic Affairs, Online Management Team, marketing, and Admissions to connect students to the services, resources, and programs provided by the Student Support Services Office.
- This collaboration shall support the team to contribute to retention goals set by Meets or exceeds monthly and annual retention goals (70% of more) of the college and programs including but not limited driving improvement in areas of student academic progress (driving down percentages of students that did not return, failure rates, and increase persistence and student satisfaction through student support services) and contributing to student population goals.
Education/Experience
- Master’s degree in education administration, higher education, public administration, counseling or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in student services, academic setting and 3 years of management experience; preferably in the proprietary post-secondary school setting
Qualifications
- Ability to work a varied schedule with flexible hours, including evening and coordinated weekend hours
- Ability to act effectively in emergency and crisis situations
- Familiar with current trends in higher education and technology, and the ability to enhance the use of technology and other resources to meet student needs
