About the role
Based in our corporate headquarters in Plano, this leadership position supports clinical and regulatory initiatives for owned, managed, and consulting Post-Acute hospitals. The role offers a vibrant company culture and an outstanding work environment.
Responsibilities
- Supports clinical and quality initiatives by providing guidance to field Chief Nursing Officers (CNOs) and Directors of Quality Management (DQMs).
- Serves as the infection control specialist, developing, implementing, and coordinating infection prevention and control programs.
- Provides regulatory compliance support and serves as a lead for mock surveys.
- Fills Interim CNO and DQM roles as needed.
- Oversees Quality Reporting to ensure timely and accurate submissions.
- Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned by the VP of Clinical Services for Post-Acute.
- Upholds and supports CHC’s mission, vision, goals, and objectives while complying with policies and procedures.
- Actively contributes to high-quality patient care, treatment, and services, with a commitment to excellent customer service.
- Participates in planning, scheduling, reporting, and action planning for mock surveys.
- Assists in developing documents and resources that support clinical, regulatory, and quality initiatives.
- Actively engages in CNO and DQM development programs.
- Identifies and promotes resolution of operational and clinical care issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent degree; Master’s degree in Nursing preferred.
- Minimum of five (5) years of hospital clinical practice and five (5) years as a Director of Quality Management (DQM).
- Current unencumbered nursing or related professional licensure.
- HCAP certification (HCAP-CMS and HCAP-IC).
- Experience working with multi-site locations is highly desirable.
- Experience as an infection control coordinator or specialist.
- Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) experience required.
- Travel up to 75% of the time.

- Proficiency in analyzing clinical, financial, and operational data.
- In-depth knowledge of regulatory and accreditation standards, including CMS Quality Reporting requirements.
- Strong expertise in Infection Prevention and Control practices.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present information effectively to diverse audiences.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build cooperation and commitment toward shared goals.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent project and time management skills.
- Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
Physical Demands
- Physical mobility to travel up to 75% of work time, including driving for at least 3 uninterrupted hours and air travel.
- Ability to use a keyboard or keypad regularly.
- Regularly required to talk, hear, stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, and adjust focus for close and distance vision.
- May occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
- Mental resilience to handle high workloads and tight deadlines.
