About the role

Reporting to the Senior National Director of Field Access and Reimbursement, the Regional Director of Field Access and Reimbursement will lead the implementation and execution of HCP-facing market access and patient services strategies to achieve appropriate access for OXERVATE. This role serves as a critical frontline leader of Field Reimbursement Managers (FRMs) leading the East or West FRM team. The successful candidate will prioritize coaching and leading FRMs while addressing access barriers to support their team and region. This position requires expertise in compliantly addressing access barriers in the specialty marketplace, developing and leading teams, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate access and deliver excellent customer support for patients.

This role is at the forefront of Dompé’s effort to deliver transformative solutions for OXERVATE patient access and will contribute to the strategy and design of Dompé’s access programs. The Regional Director will foster a collaborative culture within Field Access and Reimbursement by working with the Patient Access Manager leadership team to align efforts in supporting the patient journey.

Responsibilities

  • Hire, onboard, and prepare a new team of FRMs to compliantly execute on team objectives.
  • Provide hands-on leadership, coaching, guidance, and evaluation to ensure FRMs execute access and reimbursement support compliantly.
  • Collaborate with sales leadership to ensure appropriate team engagement and prioritization when addressing access barriers for patients.
  • Ensure the team provides appropriate customer education on Dompé access solutions and the local market landscape.
  • Partner with the strategy team to optimize solutions supporting the patient journey and deliver an excellent patient and provider experience.
  • Support the team in utilizing digital enrollment platforms to streamline user experience and gain efficiencies.
  • Contribute to developing strategies, tactics, and messaging to optimize the Oxervate patient journey and provider experience.
  • Inspire the FRM team to work cross-functionally, analyze reimbursement/access issues, and act as the local access and reimbursement resource for internal partners.
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to identify, anticipate, and address patient and practice access and reimbursement issues in the region.
  • Leverage analytics and reimbursement data to identify areas of improvement and recommend program design and performance enhancements.
  • Collaborate with IT to ensure systems facilitate consistent and compliant activities supporting the patient journey.
  • Partner with the National Senior Director to maintain and update SOPs, work instructions, and foundational department documents for consistent compliant execution.
  • Work with other functional leaders to ensure appropriate collaboration and role boundaries are delivered compliantly.
  • Proactively support department leadership on projects as needed.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of pharma/biotech experience with a focus on patient and/or market access.
  • At least 4 years of field access and reimbursement experience.
  • Deep understanding of the patient access landscape and the patient access journey in the specialty marketplace.
  • Ability to establish yourself as an influential thought leader on patient support services within the Market Access / Patient Services organization.
  • Experience optimizing and educating on customer-facing technology platforms.
  • Firm grasp of the compliance and regulatory environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically, anticipate marketplace changes, and advocate for the patient and customer in the region.
  • Launch experience building and leading field reimbursement teams, including sizing, targeting, and customer segmentation (a plus).
  • Experience with field operations and systems/infrastructure supporting access roles to meet patient and HCP needs (a plus).
  • Knowledge and experience with FRM requirements for Salesforce and CRM platforms.
  • Expertise within the pharmacy benefit landscape as well as buy-and-bill processes.
  • Experience fostering collaborative and compliant environments with Hub operations and internal case management teams (vendor management a plus).
  • Specialty pharmacy and trade experience (a plus).
  • Ophthalmology market experience, ideally in anterior segment; experience in optometry (a plus).
  • Comfortability creating presentations and delivering compelling messages to senior leadership.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or master’s level degree (a plus).

Pay

Base Salary: $230,000 - $260,000 a year.
