About the role

The Regional Sales Director will lead a high-performing sales team within the Clinical and Healthcare market, driving revenue growth, market expansion, and customer engagement across the region.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and execute regional sales strategies, including forecasting, developing annual sales objectives, and managing sales performance against revenue and profitability targets.
  • Drive sustainable growth by expanding Avantor's customer base, strengthening strategic customer relationships, and ensuring a strong market presence.
  • Hire, train, and set expectations with all sales specialists in the region.
  • Continually evaluate associate progress and performance.
  • Provide formal and informal sales training to all sales associates in assigned region.
  • Develop programs and selling strategies to motivate sales force and stimulate sales.
  • Develop and maintain sound customer and supplier relations.
  • Handle contract negotiations for key accounts.
  • Prepare sales and gross margin forecasts for region territories and analyze and monitor sales data for the region.
  • Maintain key product sales.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Education: College Degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of successful sales experience (clinical market experience preferred) and 5 years leadership experience (preferred).

Pay Transparency
The expected pre-tax pay for this position is, $108,550.00 - $183,540.00 This reflects base salary. This position is subject to incentive compensation, where the expected pre-tax Target Cash Opportunity (“TCO”) for this position is based on the achieved sales and in the amount/range of, $154,400.00 - $262,200.00 Actual pay may differ depending on relevant factors such as prior experience and eligible geographic location. TCO is defined as Base Salary + Target Sales Incentive (Sales Incentive eligible role only).

Pay

The expected pre-tax pay for this position is, $108,550.00 - $183,540.00 This reflects base salary. Schedule

Typically works in an office environment with extensive regional travel to customer locations. 50% - 75% travel with sales team to customer locations. Work assignments are diversified. Examples of past precedent are used to resolve work problems. New alternatives may be developed to resolve problems. A frequent volume of work and deadlines impose strain on routine basis. Minimal physical effort is required. Work is mostly sedentary but does require walking, standing, bending, reaching, lifting or carrying objects that typically weigh less than 10 lbs.
