This role is pivotal in shaping the strategic direction for the Texas Gulf Coast Region’s controls products, building automation systems (BAS), and Digital Portfolio with AI offerings.

Reporting to the Regional Vice President & General Manager, you will lead the sales strategy for controls and digital solutions, accelerating profitable growth, expanding market penetration, and strengthening alignment across the sales organization. This position partners closely with area sales teams, regional leadership, and North America controls & digital sales leadership to identify and scale opportunities that improve building performance and elevate customer outcomes.

While primarily focused on sales leadership, this role will collaborate with operations leaders to ensure strong execution and customer satisfaction. Success will be measured by sales growth, market share gain, margin expansion, customer satisfaction, and the development of long-term strategic customer relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership to a growing sales team focused on new customer acquisition, expansion within existing accounts, and increased market penetration through sales excellence, strategic account management, and outcome-based selling.
  • Lead the training, coaching, and development of sales teams to strengthen commercial capability, increase sales effectiveness, and build a strong internal talent pipeline across the region.
  • Drive employee engagement, organizational planning, talent development, talent acquisition, and retention across the sales organization.
  • Lead and develop Controls and Digital Portfolio with AI pre-sales resources to strengthen customer engagement, improve sales effectiveness, and support commercial excellence.
  • Develop and execute regional growth strategies for controls, building automation services, and digital solutions with AI using lean principles and data-driven decision-making.
  • Partner with marketing, sales, local leadership, and corporate leadership to identify market opportunities and accelerate growth.
  • Serve as the regional leader for pipeline rigor, opportunity management, and sales discipline execution across controls and connected offerings, ensuring strong visibility, prioritization, and conversion.
  • Build strong linkage between controls products, BAS, connected solutions, and broader customer strategies to deliver differentiated and integrated outcomes.
  • Strengthen customer satisfaction and loyalty by partnering with operations and fulfillment teams to align customer expectations, solution delivery, and long-term value realization.
  • Lead monthly financial reviews and evaluate performance through key commercial and financial metrics to ensure progress against growth and profitability objectives.
  • Drive monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting processes with a high degree of accuracy and accountability.

As a Member of the Regional Leadership Team

  • Partner with Area General Managers, Sales Leaders, and Operations Leaders across all 13 regional locations to assess controls maturity, prioritize investments, and advance strategies for profitable growth.
  • Collaborate with sales and operations leaders to define and achieve revenue, margin, and customer satisfaction targets across the region.
  • Apply commercialization standard work from the Business Operating System to develop and scale go-to-market strategies that improve market reach and commercial effectiveness.
  • Support alignment between sales strategy and operational execution by partnering with fulfillment leaders to improve consistency, customer experience, and business results.
  • Serve as the regional liaison for North America controls, BAS, and Digital Portfolio with AI initiatives, partnering with corporate and national resources to implement commercialization strategies for connected equipment and digital solutions with AI.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from an accredited college or technical school required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Proven track record, with 5+ years preferred, of leading strategic selling efforts and delivering business growth in controls, building automation, digital solutions, or a related industry.
  • Strong experience engaging with building owners, operators, architects, contractors, and consulting engineers.
  • Demonstrated success in training, coaching, and developing high-performing sales teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead through influence, build talent, and drive disciplined execution through structured selling processes.
  • Strong business acumen with advanced data management and analysis capabilities.
  • Ability to build strategic partnerships and develop innovative, customer-centered solutions that create long-term value.

Schedule

This role follows a 4-days-in-office / 1-day work-from-choice-location model (Monday to Thursday onsite; Friday flexible). Significant travel across the Texas Gulf Coast Region is required to maintain strong partnerships with local teams, support customer engagement, and ensure strategic alignment across all 13 locations. Regular day travel and frequent overnight travel should be expected.

Pay

Annual base salary range: $157,900.00 - $239,505.00. This is a salaried position with incentive eligibility. Compensation is tailored to factors such as seniority, merit, geographic location, education, experience, travel requirements, and union designation.
