About the role
We are looking for a Regional Controller for our Surgery Ventures Group team where excellence creates excellence. Based in Dallas, TX, you will oversee the daily operations of the Accounting department, including financial systems and processes, internal controls, safeguarding of assets, and the monthly accounting close. This role facilitates the accomplishment of departmental responsibilities in accordance with policies and procedures to meet company and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities
- Performs Division/Corporate accounting assignments and supervises all accounting department operations.
- Directs the preparation of timely and accurate financial reports, ensuring they reflect the financial position of the surgery centers.
- Performs financial review and analysis; assists in managing and coordinating multiple general ledgers and facilitates the month-end close process.
- Oversees internal controls and safeguarding of assets; provides direction to staff accountants to ensure goals are met.
- Identifies areas to develop systems, methods, and processes to improve performance.
- Coordinates internal audit functions between surgery centers and Audit and Consulting.
- Assists with budget preparation and other financial information as necessary.
- Identifies and reports undesirable trends and potential business opportunities; makes recommendations for action.
- Assists surgery center staff with accounting issues and provides training and education as needed.
- Orients and trains staff accountants.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
- At least 4 years of accounting experience.
- CPA preferred.
- 2 years’ experience in healthcare preferred.
