About the role

Join our Regional Continuous Improvement team and play an influential role by providing expertise and coaching utilizing your existing continuous improvement skills. The ideal candidate has exposure to food manufacturing/processing and will serve as a hands-on project manager in a highly visible space. You will need a keen eye for detail and strong communication skills, with the ability to flex your style and connect with a diverse group of people.

Responsibilities

  • Possess working knowledge of common methods to define problems, identify gaps in performance, gather supporting data, design solutions, implement improvements, measure results, and sustain results.
  • Serve as a change agent to challenge existing processes using data to communicate and support opportunities.
  • Develop a pipeline of FI plans and execute them to resolve inefficiencies and drive cost savings.
  • Manage both capital and process improvement projects to ensure desired results are met within budgeted time and cost.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to evaluate the financial and operational impact of process improvement opportunities.
  • Increase efficiency while minimizing cost and maximizing resource utilization through lean and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of financial costing, including contract analysis.
  • Advocate for a continuous improvement mindset through training, coaching, and facilitating events throughout the company.
  • Champion change initiatives for the enterprise.

Requirements

  • Comprehensive problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Strong organization and project management skills with a track record of delivering results.
  • Forthright about opinions and recommendations.
  • Ability to capture and document business and reporting requirements from multiple sources.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to partner with cross-functional teams.
  • Self-motivated, self-directed, with a high sense of urgency.
  • Ability to travel 50% (mostly regional within the Darigold PNW footprint).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, Food Science, or Operations.
  • 5+ years of operations experience with progressive levels of responsibility.
  • 5+ years of Lean Continuous Improvement (IWS, TPM) experience.
  • Lean Green Belt and/or Kaizen Facilitator certification (LSSI or equivalent).
