Regional Category Manager
About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated, collaborative, and forward-thinking Regional Category Manager with a growth mindset and a strong capacity to design the SE supply chain, including our supplier base. This role focuses on leveraging suppliers’ expertise, fostering partnerships, and driving common growth ambitions. You will report to the Passive/PCB Global Category Director and work within an international team to develop and execute market strategy for the NAM region.
Responsibilities
- Align and deploy category strategy across the business.
- Perform needs analysis for Schneider entities and LOBs in the NAM Hub, segment commodity needs, and share insights with the Global Category Manager (GCM).
- Prepare monthly regional reports on key drivers, monitor and report supply chain risks, and track technology trends, raw material markets, and market conditions impacting pricing, competitiveness, and supply chain.
- Conduct regular interlock meetings with the NAM region team to support supplier performance, business continuity, and technical productivity.
- Coordinate and collaborate to deploy Passive/PCB strategy within the business, including quarterly interlocks with Business Procurement.
- Actively participate in the innovation phase with R&D to support Business Procurement.
- Review awards with Business Procurement for key passive/PCB technologies, ensuring best practices (multi-sourcing, costing matrix, competitiveness, LTSA) are implemented.
- Directly manage passive/PCB suppliers and lead global negotiations, supporting regional purchasers with tools and arguments.
- Plan business reviews with suppliers and assign tasks to respective supplier leaders in the zone.
- Deploy supplier framework agreements and drive adoption in New Product Introductions (NPI).
- Lead the qualification process for any new suppliers linked to the category.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Economics, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in procurement/supply chain management, with a background in Electronic Components and Products.
- Demonstrated experience leading functional teams, fostering collaboration, and working effectively in a multicultural environment.

Pay
For this U.S.-based position, the expected pay range is USD 142,400 - USD 213,600 per year. This range includes base pay and short-term incentives. Individual pay is determined by factors such as performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
