Regional Aquatics Business Director

About the role

Working closely with the Executive Director of Aquatics Programming, this role focuses on training systems, certification management, safety compliance, and staff development—ensuring consistent, high-quality aquatic experiences for all.

Responsibilities

• Lead regional Aquatics operations, ensuring consistent programs, pool schedules, and safety standards.
• Build and maintain lifeguard and instructor pipelines; organize certification courses and track compliance.
• Provide leadership, training, and support to full- and part-time staff using adult learning best practices.
• Conduct aquatic audits and Learn to Swim quality assurance reviews.
• Partner with community organizations and represent the YMCA at community events.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and fiscal stewardship for Aquatics programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree preferred; minimum 4 years of aquatics experience, including management.
• Trainer-level certifications (or willingness to obtain).
• Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office and aquatics/sports software.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel between branches.
