Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive initial ABA evaluations in accordance with clinical best practices and payer requirements.
- Review medical, educational, and behavioral records to support diagnostic and treatment recommendations.
- Complete direct observations, standardized assessments, caregiver interviews, and clinical analyses.
- Develop individualized treatment recommendations based on assessment findings.
- Author and submit clinically sound evaluation reports within established timelines.
- Develop and submit initial Plans of Care (POCs), Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs), and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
- Establish positive and collaborative relationships with patients and caregivers throughout the evaluation process.
- Deliver individual and/or group caregiver guidance sessions to support families and facilitate access to ABA services.
- Provide education regarding ABA treatment recommendations, goals, and expectations.
- Collaborate with receiving BCBAs and interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care.
- Facilitate smooth transitions from evaluation services to ongoing treatment by sharing assessment findings, treatment recommendations, and relevant clinical documentation.
- Maintain thorough, accurate, and timely clinical documentation.
- Ensure reports and treatment plans meet payer-specific requirements and medical necessity standards.
- Stay current on insurance authorization requirements, clinical best practices, and regulatory expectations.
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Special Education, Psychology or closely related field.
- Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in good standing with the BACB.
- At least three years of certification with the BACB as a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst.
- Licensed as a Behavior Analyst, in the state (where applicable).
- Deep experience with skills assessments and curricula (e.g., VB-MAPP, ABLLS-R, EFL, AFLS, PEAK).
- Superior report writing skills.
- Strong background in behavior reduction program development and oversight.
- Ability to communicate knowledge in the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to professionals and non-professionals.

Pay
This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Ability to travel in the region is required.
