Responsibilities
- Work directly with the Purchasing department regarding ordering and maintaining par levels.
- Maintain all radiographic equipment and storage.
- Maintain all equipment service/QC logs and perform appropriate testing, including managing visiting vendors.
- Assist physicians with all aspects of cardiac, endovascular, neurovascular, electrophysiology, and radiology invasive procedures, including but not limited to:
- Diagnostic coronary catheterizations/angioplasty.
- Endovascular diagnostics/angioplasty.
- Balloon pump/Impella insertions.
- Electrophysiology procedures such as pacemaker implantation, temporary pacemaker, and loop recorder insertions.
- Cerebral angiograms and neurovascular interventions.
- Prepare sterile procedure trays and patient preparation prior to each case.
- Enter all relevant data into the hemodynamic monitoring system and complete procedural documentation.
- Interpret cardiac rhythms and recognize life-threatening arrhythmias.
- Maintain and utilize required standards of digital cine technologies, storage, and retrieval of images/hemodynamic records.
- Manage Cath Lab inventory by resupplying procedure rooms.
- Assist in transporting patients to the appropriate nursing units within the institution.
- Serve as a member of the Emergency Call Team for procedures after regularly scheduled hours; must be onsite/in the laboratory within 30 minutes of OT activation.
Requirements
- Licensed Radiologic Technologist (RT) or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Certification.
