Refrigeration Technician (Stockton)

About the role
This traveling Service Technician role supports projects throughout the complete lifecycle—from concept and design through manufacturing, installation, startup, operation, optimization, modernization, and long-term system support. Technicians perform repair, maintenance, and support of industrial refrigeration equipment for customers in food and beverage, cold storage, and other industries.
Responsibilities
- Provide refrigeration repair and maintenance support to industrial accounts with equipment ranging from 100 HP to 5,000 HP
- Perform routine and emergency service on ammonia and Freon refrigeration equipment commonly found in industrial applications
- Use working knowledge of screw and reciprocal compressors, electrical troubleshooting of all common types of ammonia central systems, and control/alarm systems to perform inspections and preventative maintenance
- Demonstrate an understanding of and adherence to all work safety policies, procedures, and governing requirements
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience (supermarket/rack/industrial refrigeration systems)
- Knowledge of controls and electric (high and low voltage)
- Universal EPA certification
- Motor alignment experience
- RETA 1 & 2 certification preferred
- Company is a tobacco-free workplace; no tobacco products allowed during the workday on jobsites
- Pre-employment drug screening, felony screening, and motor vehicle record screening required
- Position is safety-sensitive and requires regular drug testing
Schedule
This position follows a 10-day tour schedule: traveling from Tuesday through the following week's Thursday, with every other Friday through Monday off. Typically works 50-60 hours per week.
Pay
$30-$60/hour, dependent on experience.
