Refrigeration Technician (NYC)

The Service Technician role supports customers across food and beverage, cold storage, pharmaceutical, industrial manufacturing, and mission-critical infrastructure markets. Responsibilities

• Repair and maintenance support of industrial refrigeration equipment for valued customers.
• Perform routine and emergency service on ammonia and Freon refrigeration equipment commonly found in industrial applications.
• Use working knowledge of screw and reciprocal compressors, electrical troubleshooting, all common types of ammonia central systems, and control/alarm systems to perform inspections and preventative maintenance as required.
• Demonstrate an understanding and adherence to all work safety policies, procedures, and governing requirements.

Requirements

• High school graduate or GED.
• HVAC tech school preferred.
• Universal EPA certification or ability to obtain.
• RETA 1&2 certification preferred.
• Motor alignment experience a plus.
• Company is a tobacco-free workplace; no tobacco products allowed during the workday on job sites.
• Pre-employment drug screening, felony screening, and motor vehicle record screening required.
• Safety-sensitive position requiring pre-employment and regular drug testing.
• Excellent physical condition; ability to climb ladders, wear a respirator, work 10–12-hour days, and perform occasional heavy lifting.
• Ability to wear a respirator and pass a fit test.

Pay

$30–$60/hour, dependent on experience.

Schedule

Monday–Friday, regional overnight travel (50–60 hours per week).
