Key Responsibilities
- Maintain, diagnose, repair, rebuild, adjust, and perform daily maintenance, as needed, on ammonia refrigeration compressors and other equipment
- Follow all safety requirements and procedures
- Maintain daily logs of operations and events for engine rooms and refrigeration equipment
- Assist other maintenance personnel as needed
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work long hours, if required, including weekends
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in tight spaces
- Must pass a physical, pulmonary test, respirator fit test, and meet the requirements for Haz-Mat team on an annual basis
Skills And Knowledge
- Have or obtain RETA 1 certificate within 1 year of hire date
- Maryland Stationary Engineers license is a plus
- If applicant does not have license or if it is not current, applicant will need to obtain a current license within 1 year of hire
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Poultry experience preferred but not required
