Job Overview
Responsible for coordinating daily production activities within the refrigeration room, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to temperature-sensitive handling requirements. Serves as a subject matter resource with advanced knowledge of refrigeration processes, food safety standards, and equipment operation, acting as a key point of contact to communicate priorities and resolve issues.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Cook up daily production activities and monitor workflows; track production progress and report status updates to management
- Provide team members with work guidance and support for assigned tasks and procedures
- Perform hands-on manufacturing tasks to support daily production operations and goals
- Communicate with cross-functional departments, such as purchasing and engineering
- Operate a forklift to move products in/out of assigned work area as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace/shop
- Perform other tasks to support manufacturing and operations as needed
Minimum Education And Experience
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent
- Additional training in machining, metalworking, or related fields is a plus
- Experience: 3 - 5 years related experience and/or training
Other Skills And Abilities
- Intermediate computer skills; ability to use Microsoft Office and Outlook
- Knowledge of inventory management and order entry systems, such as SyteLine and Factory Track
- Advanced knowledge of shop machinery and proper manufacturing techniques
- Advanced knowledge of proper quality control procedures
- Ability to operate a forklift
- Mechanically inclined; ability to work with basic hand and power tools
- Able to read a tape measure accurately to 1/16th of an inch
- Able to add and subtract fractions
- Communicates well with others; asks for and offers help when needed
- Detail oriented; meets quality standards and demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness
- Organized; completes work in a timely manner; able to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Problem-solver; gathers and analyzes information skillfully and generates suggestions for improving work

Work Environment And Physical Demand
- Manufacturing Environment – may cause exposure to heat, noise, vibration, odors, dust or moving mechanical parts
- Medium to Heavy Work – requires the ability to exert up to 100 lbs. with team or mechanical assistance, requires the ability to individually exert up to 75 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or exert up to 35 lbs. of force frequently, and/or exert up to 15 lbs. of force constantly to lift, move, push, or pull objects and materials
