About the role

As a Refrigeration Construction Foreman, you will oversee field operations and provide direction to tradesman, ensuring high-quality workmanship in supermarket refrigeration installations for new store constructions and remodel projects.

  • Maintain clear, professional communication with clients, colleagues, and leadership to foster effective collaboration and workplace efficiency.
  • Develop and adjust work schedules to accommodate shifting construction deadlines, delays, and weather challenges.
  • Provide project status updates to stakeholders, including project managers and construction leadership.
  • Ensure a highly efficient work environment while upholding strict quality and safety standards.
  • Interpret blueprints, conduct material takeoffs, and procure necessary supplies.
  • Oversee construction projects, including piping cooler boxes, overhead lines, compressor rooms/houses, and refrigeration cases, ensuring compliance with specifications.
  • Record and submit daily progress reports, documenting any discrepancies or deviations from the original plan.
  • Train and mentor lower-level construction team members across multiple trades to develop skills and expertise.

Requirements

  • Valid State Driver’s License
  • 5 years’ relevant experience of leading and directing commercial refrigeration installations on jobsites.

Qualifications

  • Experienced leader with a proven ability to manage crews, oversee operations, and ensure workplace efficiency.
  • Conducts safety meetings and maintains compliance with OSHA regulations while protecting company assets.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills, engaging effectively with contractors, inspectors, and laborers.
  • Skilled in construction practices, equipment maintenance, and subcontractor sourcing, ensuring smooth project execution.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and industry-specific systems, with a self-motivated, professional work ethic.
  • Willing to travel up to 75% as required to meet project demands.
