Refrigeration/Boiler Technician - 3rd Shift

Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain high-pressure boilers.
- Operate and maintain plant-wide ammonia refrigeration systems.
- Conduct boiler feed water testing.
- Maintain smokehouse and dry-room operations.
- Perform calibrations on probes, sensors, and devices.
- Conduct routine audits and equipment inspections.
- Perform work at higher elevations on lifts/ladders up to 36ft.
- Demonstrate troubleshooting abilities.
- Fulfill plant-wide duties as HAZMAT first responder.
- Respond to unplanned/emergency work requests in a timely & effective manner.
- Follow food safety and good manufacturing practices.
- Understand operations of Wastewater Treatment Plant and perform duties when designated operator is not on-site.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED and 1+ years of related experience in an industrial mechanical maintenance or food manufacturing environment.
- 4 years’ direct experience in an industrial mechanical maintenance or food manufacturing maintenance environment.
- Comprehensive knowledge in three or more of the following areas: RETA Certification, Ammonia Refrigeration, Engine & Boiler systems, Electricity & motor controls, Controls & instrumentation, PLC/software & hardware, Pneumatics & Hydraulics, Mechanical systems, Predictive/Predictive maintenance, Maintenance Planning, Site utilities, System analysis & troubleshooting, Pipefitting.
- Basic computer skills and the ability to work independently.
- Possess a certification or degree in mechanical, electrical or industrial maintenance and/or related college or technical level course work.

Schedule
Full time hourly position; all applicants should be willing to work all shifts (days/evenings/overnights), extended hours and weekends.
