Refrigeration Alarm Monitoring Specialist, Lakeland

About the role

The Refrigeration Alarm Monitoring (RAM) Specialist at Publix is responsible for 24-hour monitoring of refrigeration systems, responding to alarms, and dispatching service providers to ensure product integrity and reduce costs.

Responsibilities

• Monitor electronic refrigeration control systems
• Dispatch internal and external refrigeration service providers
• Contact retail store leadership about alarm issues
• Follow up with vendors and stores until issues are resolved

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least two years of experience with computer software and hardware
• At least two years of experience in a customer service field
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Sound decision-making skills
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Strong analytical skills
• Ability to multi-task
• Empathetic listening skills
• Professional telephone etiquette
• Ability to work on a team
• Customer-focused attitude
• Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical school degree with courses in Refrigeration or Energy Management Systems
• Four years of experience with computer software and hardware
• Experience in refrigeration alarm monitoring and maintenance management software
• Knowledge of Facility Services products and services
• Understanding of the Refrigeration Contract Statement of Work
• Knowledge of supermarket refrigeration systems and equipment
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Problem escalation process knowledge
• Publix organizational structure knowledge
• Improvement methodologies knowledge
• Ability to read and understand refrigeration architectural drawings
• Strong analytical skills
• Conflict resolution skills
