Referral Coordinator - University Surgeons Associates

About the Role

A full-time Referral Coordinator position for a detail-oriented and compassionate professional to help patients navigate their care journey in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with patients, providers, and staff as necessary to ensure timely and accurate referral completion
• Verify insurance coverage and assess clinical reasoning for specific appointments
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) system
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to support seamless patient care

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree preferred)
• Medical Assistant/LPN experience preferred
• Previous experience in a medical office or referral coordination role required
• Strong understanding of insurance processes and medical terminology
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Proficiency in EHR systems, preferably Greenway/Intergy and Microsoft Office Suite
