Referee

We are seeking Intramural Referees for our intramural sports leagues at a university athletic facility in Boston, MA.

About the role

The primary focus of the Referee role is officiating games for our members and programs, ensuring a fair and enjoyable experience for all participants.

• Officiate sports games, enforcing rules and maintaining game flow
• Manage game dynamics, making split-second decisions and communicating effectively with players and coaches
• Provide a positive and safe environment for players, promoting sportsmanship and fair play

Requirements

• Experience and extensive knowledge of officiating sports games, preferably in a recreational or competitive setting
• Knowledge of basketball rules and regulations
• Strong communication and decision-making skills
• A certified referee is preferred; individuals with previous experience will be considered
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is required
